Oh, I was hoping to know more about them, because I read on the page that Fuyumi Ono was writing a book named "残穢" that google translated to "Residual impurity " and I wasn't sure if this book was part of the Twelve kingdoms series.

No, "残穢" is not a part of Twelve kingdoms series. It's a horror novel. Ono sensei is also famous as a horror novelist. Her horror novels I read before were scary. So I don't read recent her horror novels. (-_-;)
When she released "残穢" as her new book after an interval of 9 years, I expected a story of Twelve kingdoms though. I deeply hope the announce of the new stories really does come true.

I didn't know she write horror novels.. and even less that she's famous for it XDDD well another piece of information for me to digest hahaha maybe... someday... in a far future i'll know enough japanese and have enough guts to read her other works... i really wonder about her other proyects :P
